Using HQ Remote to view your team mates photos is always free. If you want to have access to the instant video and other features, then you need to upgrade to HQ Remote Pro. This will also help us keep the lights on and send our kids to college.

HQ Remote Pro is available on a monthly or a discounted annual billing plan. Both plans provide identical service, but there is a difference in how billing is handled for the addition of new team members. Read the content below for detailed information on how our billing works.
Monthly Billing
If you’re in the 7 day trial period and add your payment details, the first payment won’t be taken until your trial is finished, then every 30 days from the date of your first payment. If you add people to your team during the month, we’ll calculate the prorated amount for the remainder of days left in the current month and charge that amount at the time of your plan renewal.

For example, if you have 7 people on your team and you add a new user at day 20, we’d calculate a prorated amount for the remaining 10 days at 10x($9/30) = $3.00. When your plan renews, you’d be charged for your new team size of 8 ($9x8 = $72) plus the $3 prorated amount for a total of $75.00.

If you deactivate a user during the month, then we’ll again calculate the prorated amount for the remainder of the month and add a credit to your account. When your plan renews, we’ll deduct the credit off the amount owed.

For example, if you have 8 members on your team and deactivate someone on day 10, then we’d issue you a prorated credit for the remaining 20 days of 20x($9/30) = $6.00 to your account. When your plan renews, you’d be charged for your new team size of 7 ($9x7 = $63) minus the $6 prorated credit for a total of $57.00.

If you are in the scenario where you have removed and added members to your team over the period of the month, then we’ll calculate a combination of the above, applying prorated credits and charges through the month at the time of renewal.
Annual Billing
Annual billing benefits from a discount rate. If you’re in the 7 day trial period and add your payment details, the first payment won’t be taken until your trial is finished, then every 365 days from the date of your first payment. If you add people to your team during the year, we’ll calculate the prorated amount for the remainder of days left in the current year and charge that amount at the time of sending the invitation.

For example, if you have 7 people on your team and you add a new user at day 185, we’d calculate a prorated amount for the remaining 180 days at 180x(($8x12)/365) = $47.35. That amount would be charged immediately when you send the invitation to a new team member. When your plan renews, you’d be charged for your new team size of 8 ($8x12)x8 = $768.00.

If you deactivate a user during the year, then we’ll again calculate the prorated amount for the remainder of the year and add a credit to your account. When your plan renews, we’ll deduct the credit off the amount owed.

For example, if you have 8 members on your team and deactivate someone on day 200, then we’d issue you a prorated credit for the remaining 165 days of 165x(($8x12)/365) = $43.40 to your account. When your plan renews, you’d be charged for your new team size of 7 (($8x12)x7 = $672) minus the $43.40 prorated credit for a total of $628.60.

If you are in the scenario where you have removed and added members to your team over the period of the year, then we’ll charge any team additions at the time of invitation and issue credits to your account as applicable. Any credits issued will be applied to team member additions.

For example, if you have 8 members on your team and deactivate someone on day 200, then we’d issue you a prorated credit to your account for the remaining 165 days at 165x(($8x12)/365) = $43.40. If you then added a new team member on day 220, we’d charge your account 145x(($8x12)/365) = $38.14 minus your credit of $43.40, leaving you with a credit balance of $4.99 to be applied to future new team members or your subscription renewal. If you don’t add any more member, then when your plan renews, you’d be charged for your new team size of 8 (($8x12)x7 = $672) minus the $4.99 credit for a total of $667.01.
